Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and has received numerous international and national prizes. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the globe on policies and research relating to child victims by the legal system. She currently acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
