Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her part as Skyler White in the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant in Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her love of performing on stage. She attended the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student at Northwestern University. Anna began her professional career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. She then moved on to film and television. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued to be in film and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Then she was placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock played two full seasons in Deadwood, which was filmed during the middle 2000's. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was also an integral an integral part of her professional acting career. Gunn appeared on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the relationship he has with Skyler is mirrored in the television show.
